Values that symbolize perfectly the Lion.
and they are also the values that we need to embody when aiming for a change.
It takes courage, strength, confidence and definitely heart to start a personal journey, to make a change – no matter the form.
For, we need to make sure that our personal foundations are strong enough to resist
the external [and very often: the internal] challenges that will put our decision to the test.
Animals, plants know instinctively when something doesn’t feel right for them and they will express it in a way or another.
They will – if they can – withdraw themselves from the situation without delay.
With humans, it’s a different story…
We do not process emotions, trauma, sadness, frustration, anger, unhappiness in the same way the rest of the living does –
We simply – in most cases – do not process it at all…
Instead, we try to ease the pain through greed, ‘power’, abuse (physical and/or verbal towards oneself and/or the rest of the living), …
… and the list can go on and on.
This speak of our level of disconnection.
As humans, it can takes us quite some time to not only figure out the level of discomfort that make us go off the rails
but to admit to ourselves when something’s not right for us: certain places,
certain people, certain situations
because above all we fear to be judged or rejected.
It is less about removing ourselves from everything that bothers us than it is to acknowledge it.
It makes all the difference – we then enter a place where change can be implemented.
Before that (meaning: not be willing to take responsibility or being in denial) we are simply not ready and very few is going to happen.
We are beings of patterns and fears. And if you think about it, very often, our decisions do not come from us intrinsically… they are based on what we think we know and on our beliefs.
Again, it’s ok – it is just about being aware of it.
The Lion – just like every other animal and Nature – is a big teacher.
